It a dumb joke.
The magic i like is called “Thaumcraft” and in it, unless you are altered and “see the veil” their magic physically doesnt make sense to the civvies. So if you were to say make the glass door disappear for 20 seconds, grab something and leave.. no one would be able to “prove” what you did ;p
They literally channel hell to cook their metals, they are abit knowledgeable in stuff

That seems excessive, but it reminds me of the time in my childhood when my friend and i went to a TILT arcade we’d gone to for years and the cashier threatened to call security if we tried to take our tickets out of the place.
This put me on a tangent and made me realize arcades in Equestria, ’specially games like this would probably have specially engineered anti-magic glass/casing of some kind.
