I wasn’t passing judgement on Celestia with that post friend. I was just saying, from a legal point of view, what Celestia did would very easily qualify as kidnapping, though I’m sure she did so with only the best of intentions.
We know next to nothing about dragon culture; in fact, the ponies seem to know very little about dragons, as well. On the other hand, we’ve seen Celestia consistently portrayed as caring and wise.
Granted, the fandom’s been portraying Celestia as a secret tyrant almost from the beginning, so adding kidnapping to that would be just a drop in the bucket…
I think it’s from this book
I about to buy one myself.
One could easily interpret claiming a lost child as your own, then handing it off to a third party as abduction.
Where did these pages come from anyway? I’m interested how canontical this stuff is.
So Spike was found as an orphan egg, huh? I always thought he was abducted by Celestia.
