Otyughs are very rare in Equestria so we are happy that one of them stumbled into Ponyvilles sewers one day. There is not a lot known about otyughs. They live in dark places and feed on the wastes from other creatures. It is the perfect opportunity for science to learn more about them. On a regular basis vets and other scientists go down into the sewers to observe its behavior and health.
This otyugh seems not to be very aggressive and is very cooperative. We guess that its the reason that the wastes in Ponyvilles sewers are very tasty for him and he is in a good condition because of our monthly medical check-ups.

Yup. I had a lot of fun with one in my Pathfinder campaign. Quincy served as a dwarven settlement’s garbage disposal. He also had bard levels, because the idea of an otyugh bard amused me too much to not do it.
