Hmm. Maybe. Twilight did “graduate” from ‘Tia’s tutelage, and I suppose she would be considered Twilight’s senior colleague now…
 
I was mostly going by sensei meaning teacher (or professor, master and even doctor).

I dunno, as an alicorn, ‘senpai’ might be more appropriate now. As I understand it, sensei is a compound of more or less ‘previous’ and ‘birth’, referring to age, and senpai is ‘previous’ and ‘fellow’, because the term ‘senpai’ is from a sort of mentor/protege system in schools.
 
So changing from ‘sensei’ to ‘senpai’ might actually be a good reflection of the change in their relationship once Twilight ascended. I could be totally off base, though–I’m basically relying on google to confirm my vague impressions.
