Well, Bulk Biceps was never seen flying all that well, nor was he seen flying as a foal. It could be that small wings are a handicap, simply one that’s treatable to some extent.

And the G5 style reminded me of an early draft of G5 which starred a pegasus with some wing impairment. I had thought that if G5 were to give us another handicapped pegasus, it would have been cool to have them using some assistive device to fly, with the technology descended from something Scootaloo helped to develop.

I’ve always thought Scootaloo’s flightlessness was because she lacks Pegasus magic. Yes, her wings are small but proportionally so are Bulk Biceps and he can fly. And she uses them to power her ground scooting, so clearly they work. Wing powered hang glider would be ideal for her.
