The joke is that “speed” is also the street name for several stimulants and it looks like Pinkie is taking the salad bar approach to them in this comic.
I made it seem like I was calling attention to this (lifting the popular “Meth: not even once” tagline), then performed a bait-and-switch by instead expounding on the movie Speed rather than the variety of drugs.

Well that I can understand. I recall seeing knock offs of Casablanca before.
Still don’t get how it relates to this page though. I’ve seen Speed and nothing about this page makes me think of it.

Speed. Not even once.
Yes, it’s another fine performance by Dennis Hopper and a good, if stereotypical, showing by Sandra Bullock (though Reeves’ performance was widely panned). Yes, it established an entire suspense genre meme. But honestly the relevance is gone.
