The derpibooru server has been super kind and helpful especially given [waves at the stuff she’s been through], but they have also encouraged like, every single thought that’s bounced in my brain.
so.
here’s my ponysona kissing a hyperfixation who has been ponified and should be my irl height. yaaay.

The image on the left is the AI image generated by PurpleSmart, done when fussing about trying to generate alicorns kissing pegasi. On the right is a redraw of it, using Cardia and a ponification of Raven from Guilty Gear (hence the “but” in the above sentence). The background’s a lazy ass redo of the AI’s background. My shading is bad, I’m aware, I’m working on that - and the last time I drew a real background was like, before I lost my will to live (i.e. like 10 years ago, oof).

Ravens color palette is a whole mix of grabs; his skintone from XX which was weirdly blue, the white of his hair in Xrd, threw on black wings, horn piercings and ear piercings inspired by XX but the “LIVE” was taken straight from Overture… He’s a mess, I know, but ayyyy at least it looks good????

AHH oh my gosh you cannot BELIEVE the biggest smile just cAME onto my face from this aaa!!
I love redrawing AI art, it’s so much fun to do so! I just feel bad because I have to tag it as “ai content” because I’m including the AI stuff in the image. It’s become easily my favorite thing to do. It’s great too to use it to reference because if you’ve got a good enough eye to go “Oh, this doesn’t look quite right”, but you’re tapped for ideas, you can easily redraw and correct the mistakes and it’s just so much easier to do than trying for hours failing to come up with an idea.

And yeah, thank you on the Raven comment, hehe! I’m totally inspired by the the material collection for Overture’s image for his short story, where his hair and cape turn into feathers. Converting it to pony results in this imagine of a tail that turns into feathers dynamically at the ends, and it’s something I feel like a lot of OC artists could totally steal for their own. And the coin eye he’s got, that’s free real estate for OCs, can you imagine seeing real life prosthetics to replace destroyed or ruined eyes with glass eyes that have neat sigils, symbols or even objects? Like imagine a Pony with a magic 8 Ball for an eye! And I could just go on forever about his neat character designs, I gotta stop for now, or else I’m gonna go on for ever, but I’m just sitting here like this, thank you!

Normally I’d hide AI shit on sight, but your redraw with Cardia and Raven looks very good. It’s great to see actual artists using AI pics as reference material, rather than just lazy jackasses using it so they don’t have to create anything.
(Also, I’m not particularly familiar with Guilty Gear, but Pony Raven looks really good here.)
