Pretty much this. There’s literally no difference to me between them and John Ashcroft and Alberto Gonzalez, just the rationale for arriving at the same point changes. Porn is not for kids period. Nobody can trust feminists for what constitutes a ‘violent porn’ as they are prickly about everything. Porn is never an issue. Feminists love to drag the majority of law abiding people into this context of a culture war.

Social constructs aren’t always bad if people can simply respect people for their differences and personal choices. Which includes being girlt if you want, being boyish if that’s what people want. That said, only girls can get away with dressing in pants or even dressing like a boy. Men would be laughed out of town if they try wearing a skirt. It has nothing to do with men’s rights. Males are not exactly the most desired gender in the westernized world.

If everything else was equal, if EqG was a movie (and possible series) being made by the same people who made MLP:FiM but without any actual canon ties to MLP:FiM, I’d be willing to give it a shot, yes.

@kassarc16 I think ‘skirts = sexualised’ is just about the only thing anyone sane can disagree with there. Although I do think Rainbow Dash shouldn’t have one. It just looks weird and clunky. The animation and art style doesn’t help.
 
@Ahmed hawt. I’d tap dat. On a related note I always find ‘feminazi’ so amusing a perjorative considering they’re like 90% godless commie pinkos by trade. If they were nazis they would actually be far more egalitarian. We really don’t have any problem with gender doing job opposite gender normally does at all. Some of the toughest I’ve fought alongside were females. Some of the most diplomatic and compassionate have been male. It’s simply not even on the radar societally. It’s been dealt with.

Yea, what he said. If they’re in the news, chances are they’re radicalist nutballs. I personally don’t know any of them who aren’t radical nuts, because I don’t swim in those circles at all, so I am only exposed to the con-artists that can force their way onto TV and MSM publications. The few people I know who might have qualified are essentially embarrassed by the whiners and slacktivists and disavow the term entirely  
It’s an obsolete movement, essentially, you’ll get so much more done if you just drop that word and bounce your tea party equivs out of your little club.

Nostalgia goggles and the love of silly camp is basically the only reason I see many watch it. You saw how fast the revival died when it tried to make it serious! The plots and magical artifact items were some of the most ridiculous ever created, barring GI Joe. And it’s one of those series you just can’t watch as comfortably when older. The really dumb parts are really really dumb and you’ll be facehoofing constantly. It’s not as renowned for its insanity as Thundercats (at least not until the youtube poops), but it’s actually crazier/campier.  
She-Ra meanwhile had actual adventure elements, had an actually threatening recurring villain, had the villains randomly working with or against each other (The scorpion girl and catgirl really hated one another), sometimes had the weak guy villain Mantenna either work with her or try to betray Hordak. And I think one time he tried a doublecross or was setup to appear that way too. It had really unusually good writing for a Filmation toon. (Normally they only get a pass on animation)
 
…Do I love that show a bit too much? Hell yeah! Oh and it had that one awesome bounty hunter based on Brigette Nielsen too, Huntera I think.  
If Hasbro ever decides to 180 and go against their ‘disneyfication’ I hope they revive that, even if it’s just reruns.

Actually, you’d be surprised how some fanatical feminists act. Not all of ‘em are fanatical, but some do go overboard.  
In fact, some got arrested for trying to harass men.
 
I knew a girl who always got hassled by feminists, just because she liked wearing dresses, and because she liked cooking for her boyfriend. Another girl I knew got crap from some just because she’s engaged to be married. (And apparently loving somebody makes you “less of a woman.” Hoo boy…) So it’s not all just “ignorant straw-man-ing.” Quite a few of ’em give feminists a bad reputation, and ironically act just as sexist as the men they complain about.

None of the feminists I know have called for anything to be banned. Some of us want violent pornography on the internet to be censored, but that’s a case of keeping violent rape-images out of sight of children, and so a special exception, and besides it would still be out there somewhere, just a little harder to get hold of.
 
The rest of your bizarre strawman is too stupid to bother engaging with. I’m not saying that there aren’t some people out there calling themselves feminists with ridiculous beliefs… just that I’ve never met them IRL, or come across them online apart from people linking to the occasional silly article.

Regarding the much-maligned EqD comments: There’s people who make good comments, there’s people who make bad comments, and there’s people who just take up virtual space. More or less like any other online community.

Considering the average person what identifies as such wants to ban all entertainment, all sex except for prudish and lawyered-up contracts which require four witnesses and two officers for each encounter, all nonfeminist literature and research, and eventually all of one gender entirely, can you blame the response?  
They need to cease being so passive-aggressive and just come out with “Hey, guess what, we hate living, we hate life, we hate nature, and we hate you for enjoying it!”
