Are you referring to the people in this thread who believe the story’s real? Personally, I think that’s a bit harsh; they’ve been conditioned, through either experience or argument, to expect religious people to be gullible and religious leaders to be corrupt. It’s a lot easier to believe an outlandish joke is a real story if it fits one’s preconceptions.
