You know, given how her eye looks, I would not be surprised if Twilight was in some way still in there mentally, but under some sort of dark compulsion like when she used dark magic on the mirror back in the Crystal Empire. So she thinks she is doing the right thing, but her perception of reality is being twisted by the magic that has corrupted her.

Apparently all these AUs inspired some part of my brain last night cause I had a dream where I was my character Night Reader and one of these things was spread by a pink mist. So I sprinted away, leaving behind everyone, family, most of my friends. One managed to keep up with me, everyone else, poof, gone. Consumed.
Ran into a zebra palace of all things, (for some reason they were immune?) and they sent guards to investigate what the mist left behind.

Dream ended with one of those character card things for the au, which was:

Night Reader; The Coward.
Status: Uninfected
One of only two surviving unicorns from Canterlot.

And then just a picture of my poor boy curled up in a ball, tears streaming down his face and rocking with some hella shellshock in his eyes

Love all these concepts though, especially this one, has so much fabulous art
