I honestly don’t see the fuss: i mean, its not like Cadence did much all those years she was a babysitting Alicorn, and twilight’s not doing crap besides living in a library.
 
Its not like they’d drag Rarity out of her boutique kicking and screaming given how little the crew is forcing Alicorn’s responsibilities.

Princess Twilight at least made sense with all her lead roles and being Celestia’s student. But if they make the rest of them, I’m calling bullshit. I very much doubt that they will do it though. Actually it’s silly to even consider that a possibility.

The thing is when it comes to McCarthy’s tweets they are very vague. This could mean several things.
 
-We get a Ep. about Alicorn history that states Celestia and Luna have been using magic to keep themselves young ( probably the age spell )
 
-She could not be referring to Twi’s Ponyville friends and instead be referring to Celestia, Luna, and Cadence ( and maybe Spike ).
 
-Depending how Equestria Girls ends she could be referring to Twi’s human friends.
 
-Or ( worse case scenario ) the rest of the Mane cast become Alicorns ( not sure if they would be made princess too )

You guys do realize that this not a official toy right? It’s not even a official prototype.
 
I have seen this same fan made toy lurking around with other sets of fan made toys ( the person who made this also made a Kinky Pie toy as well ( I think it was Kinky anyway ) ),

Hasbro Forbids it. All princesses are alicorns to make them special so the target demographic has something to associate with, and since females are princesses, thus only mares can become alicorns. Though that isn’t to say there’s not a chance some devious male pony can’t try to steal an alicorn’s powers to become one himself.

That, or McCarthy’s joke comment about their being 53 alicorns isn’t a joke and there’s an island/mountain of those creatures around. Twilight joins that island to secure her princess hood and leaves her friends. Twilight doesn’t outlive her friends because she doesn’t exist within the bounds of Equestria, though technically she does outlive them.

Ambiguity is always fun. Nothing says her friends won’t become alicorns in Hasbro’s “War of the Princesses” crusade against Disney.
