They did admit to stealing tips from their employees on camera like it’s a completely “acceptable” thing to do… So who knows?
Yah but we’re talking about crazy people, they don’t think about things like “logic” or “consequences”
Ramsey looks like a tough bloke, I don’t think they would get physical anyway. (Especially, with cameras on ’em.)
Well yah, she’s a delusional narcissistic psychopath who wants anyone who gives her the slightest bit of criticism to die. I’m honestly surprised she didn’t try and murder Gordon Ramsey, or at least get her thug of a husband to do it
Edited
She kinda scares me. Meow meow…
Yes, He did. I was just pointing out that numerous restaurants later went out of business anyway.
Yeah, but even if they failed, Ramsey still tried to help them. The “Amy’s Baking Company” incident however according to Ramsey is the first one he ever had to quit, and walk out on. THAT’s how bad it was. I actually felt sorry for Ramsey during that incident.
And before I watched this TV show I had no idea some people could be so blind to their problems that metaphorically burn holes in the floor. But unless I open my eyes to what’s around, They’re closed.
Is that true? I can’t find any news sources confirming that.
Indeed, I think they cussed, and had to be bleeped, more then he did.
I must add, I applauded Ramsey when he announced to their customers that the owners were taking all of the tip-money from their employees. That was just to awesome for words.
“Borderline” illegal? AZ law explicitly states that it’s illegal to take a waiter’s tips. And “Samy” admitted to it in the episode. I’m surprised they haven’t been shut down yet.
get out
Damn would’ve been funny otherwise…
No.
But Gorden loves those types of similes/metaphores to insult cooks about their food (whether its Hells Kitchen or Kitchen Nightmares).
I think one I did see he helped did go out of business, but according to the end card, it was because they were way to far in dept to keep the restaurant going. So it wasn’t Ramsey’s fault.
That’s a good point, some people just don’t know how to run a business, take criticism, or how to treat their customers/employees.
Ironically, some people want to actually go to “Amy’s Bakery” now just to see the drama, and insanity for themselves. So they actually got alot of publicity.
Some people try to say all reality shows are fake, but this is pretty damn real, and there have been actual news articles about the crazyness at that restaurant sense then, and get this… The restaurant owners are actually lashing out at people online on Facebook who were criticizing them, and such. They even threatened to sue somebody. (So ironically, they’re being “cyber-bullies” themselves.)
It’s even more telling when your note that every one which continues to refuse his help usually has a note at the end pointing out they went out of business not long after, while almost all of those that did eventually accept it mentioned as still being in business.
Whats worse is that there are a bunch of programs like ‘Kitchen Nightmares’ (for different businesses though - offhand i know of a hotel one, and a few clothes store ones) and you soon come to learn that the main reason small or self-owned businesses go under is not due to the economy or due to bigger business giants but due to the fact that the owners are all goddamn idiots.
Yeah, I like the show “Kitchen Nightmares,” but even I can’t blame Ramsey for getting pissed-off sometimes. You’ve seen how dirty, and messed-up these restaurants are that he tries to help, and fix-up. Sometimes, some of the people he tries to help, don’t even seem very thankful to him, and some owners are so arrogant, I can’t blame him for getting so angry.
I remember an episode where he found a dead mouse, and the restaurant-owner accused him of planting it there for the cameras, and for ratings. Gordan was so shocked, and got so insulted over being told that, he almost left right there. (I mean, this was a place he was trying to help, and they give him crap in return for taking the time to show up, and inspect the place.)
I also remember one time a restaurant-owner was trying to “show-off,” and dress/act “cool” for the cameras, and Gordan got upset by that.
Go’s to watch it on youtube
