Maybe I’m a LITTLE excited about this upcoming premiere…at least I’m trying to be.
 

 
 
Last time I drew Ogo and Rainbow Dash together, it was for both my ‘Honest Words’ and ‘Best is All’ comics that focused on my open opinion in regards to certain things revolving around MLP and the Hub in general. [link] [link] They’re pretty much the ‘review duo’, and yes, I like using Ogo as my mouth for opinions. Gives him more love, and lets others know I see him more than the ‘creepy stalker’. :icon-all-hail-ogo:
 
Also, this picture does not take place in the cartune universe…it’s in the CARTOON universe. And yes, that’s the Bugs Bunny from CN Real’s “The Looney Tunes Show”. Just think of ‘Who Framed Roget Rabbit?’ or ‘Cartoon Cartoon Fridays’ back then when it used to be Cartoon Network when you look at this.
 

 
Okay, I’ll be honest, when I first heard of ‘Equestria Girls’, I thought it was a joke, a made-up composition on the spot by the show’s fans because of our AGONIZING patience for S4 of MLP FIM…then I got hit with evidence. Most thanks goes to for being the most informative group.
 
Now I KNOW we’re going to see humanized Twilight Sparkle…at least I THINK she’s human. No offense, but although they are nice designs…for some reason, the skin tones of each of the Mane 6 in ‘humanized’ sense seems a bit awkward for me.
 
I really don’t want to sound negative about this…but much like any other fan or brony, I’m kind of skeptical. I felt the same when I heard Twilight would get wings and become an alicorn princess, but that ended positively for me. But this…it almost sounds like ‘jumping the shark’…but most of all, kind of Hasbro’s next ‘cash cow’. I was in deep discussion with a few times in regards to this upcoming premiere, and we both can agree that Hasbro is trying to make a bigger SELL.
 
I can honestly say that this is just a strive to compete with Monster High, one of the most original and popular doll franchises I have seen on the market…trust me, the Bratz dolls are trying to compete and I REALLY don’t know what to think about the new ‘Bratzillas’ doll line. I almost hate to say it…but somewhere deep down, I think Hasbro is trying to rip-off Monster High. Now before you blow in my face and remind me of a recent LPS and MLP crossover featuring Zoe Trent and how I insisted she’s NOT a rip-off of Twilight Sparkle [link]…let me remind you that I said so because LPS is its OWN toyline, it had descended from the ‘oldies’ to its ‘newsies’ just as MLP had, and seeing as it had been an old toyline induced as something incredibly new today, its premiere having aired the same day S3 of MLP had, so many NEW, formed off the top, no ‘origin’ behind it whatsoever; to most, an easy buck instantly…if it does make money. My point across, Monster High franchise is its OWN franchise…MLP is TRYING to create the same with this new premiere.
 
As much as I am a bit skeptical about this, judging by the trailer, it looks okay. Maybe a time killer before we can finally watch Season 4 of MLP and await Season 2 of Littlest Pet Shop. And as much as this may be a mood killer…the plot honestly does sound like a fanfiction coming true. For anyone who’s been to ‘FIMFiction.net’, you would REALIZE the number of stories revolving around ‘bronies in Equestria’, ‘human accidentally transported to the pony universe’, or ‘pony accidentally sent to OUR world’.
 
However, a number of us actually are excited, and we’ll have to see what happens when it does air. But, if any consolation to those who think I’ll pretty much hate it…I would like to purchase one of its dolls. I don’t purchase the pony figures or any MLP merchandise in general, but I bet the dolls will be great! I would SO love to buy a ‘dog Spike’ plushy!
