Same. That’s the big advantage bigger budget “official” works have. They can, and do, get cancelled or not renewed or delayed for the dumbest of reasons, but generally there’s contracts involved and an obligation of some sort. Even if a work gets cancelled, often they’ll at least get to finish their season and end with some level of closure. And they generally have some kind of deadline or expectation to get it done at least somewhat expediently. Fan works can stop half-way through an episode if they want, or take like years to come out :/

Yeah, but the big thing that makes me reluctant to really embrace indie animation is how spontaneous and unreliable it is. And I get that that’s why we need to support it, but even when you do something can be riding really high, like Girlchan In Paradise, but then the creator’s just like “yeah I’m bored it’s on permanent hiatus.” :/

In only two weeks it already has twice the view count of the Murder Drones pilot. I think it’s safe to say they will be continuing with this one.

The biggest thing that will stress him out is that since he IS Pomni, he’s technically not cosplaying. Which means he’s wearing his own clothes. Which are female’s clothes. So he can’t use the usual defense >:D

Yep. I really dig it. It actually reminds me of an old stop-motion show called Bump In The Night. They’re actually very different shows, but they have the same kind of sense of humor and weird cast of characters. This fella put both seasons on Youtube, if you’re interested :P

My theory is somewhat darker, where the two of them didn’t know each other in real life, but were expected to be a couple in the circus because they were king and queen pieces, but didn’t actually like each other. Queenie ended up abstracting because of it and going on a rampage, which terrified Kinger so bad he’s hell-bent on never abstracting no matter the cost, thus being such a complete neurotic mess yet being there the longest :P

Her actual name is Queenie (Gooseworx confirmed it).

My theory is that she was Kinger’s wife/partner, they both entered the Circus together and it was after she abstracted that Kinger’s sanity began to truly slip.

Oh yeah, Ragatha was good, too.

Really, the only character that wasn’t landing with me was Kinger, but that was because there were a lot of unanswered questions about him, specifically with that door that had an identical-looking Queen piece that was crossed out (which the fans have given the unofficial name of “Queener”).

Hopefully the full series elaborates on Kinger and “Queener” more.

Honestly, Zooble is the most underrated character of the pilot. They really should’ve given her more screen time, tbh.
