A blank flank pony can use magic, but typically not very well. An adult pony having their cutie mark stolen is robbed of their magic completely. It seems that once a cutie mark forms, it contains or is somehow linked to the pony’s magic.

Wrong. She used magic to get herself free from Opaline’s spell. This is still G4 but in the future. It is not a new lore as if it was a reboot. Pegasi still can’t fly without magic just like in G4. The same way magic can be used by blankflanks just like in G4.

What happened to Poney, seriously this has not been explained and she juts ran off, she didn’t go looking for Hitch or Sunny, she juts got her cutie mark taken off and then she ran off screaming with nothing else to say like, “!!!THIS BITCH TOOK MY CUTIE MARK, SHE IS ACTUALLY EVIL, SHE IS NOT ACTING, RUN FOR YALLS FUCKING LIFE!!!”

The question is, what does losing your cutie mark do to you? Do you lose your pony magic? Memories? Or your special talent? In Posey’s case this seems to be being a hater, so I doubt anyone is complaining.
