What is ur fanfic called? I want to read it.
Yeah, but if they get so desperate that recruiting Equestrians is a viable strategy, something clearly needs to change.
How desperate a commander would you have to be to recruit xenos into your forces?
The common guardsmans estimate worth is in average considered lower than the equipment he bears. If the Imperium has anything in almost endless numbers, it is deployable Soldiers. Guardsmen are mostly considered throwaway troops by most commanding officers. That’s why they send Commissars along the way to forcibly keep the men sane before they get grinded down.
One would think that this is an inhuman attitude, but at the end of the day it all boils down to Kill or be Killed on a galactic scale. There’s nothing inbetween.
Haha! Whoooopsie. I’m bad at checking.
If it saves your own troops, it’s worth it.
I think the ponies would make for very poor soldiers, but they’d probably be good behind the lines for morale.
Here’s another short excerpt from my w.i.p fanfic, which may even encourage an art piece (hint hint?).
Vorenze and Lyra looked out over the broken city scape as the last light faded from the sky.
The two moons above them cast the scene in to a dim light of varying grey hues.
This could be a long night.
Lyra shivered as the night air chilled her.
Vorenze threw his great coat around her and cuddled her to him.
The unicorn looked up at him with huge golden eyes and smiled.
‘Better?’ he asked.
Lyra nodded. She was secretly enjoying this, but didn’t want to let on just how much.
The unlikely allies went back to keeping watch.
Gradually, the unicorn dozed off, leaning against Vorenze under his coat.
The commander looked out over the ruins. At least this watch would be warmer with his unlikely companion.
Sorry, Kharn, this was posted quite some time ago.
XD good thing they can’t actually do that when we’re on the interenet. otherwise everyone on earth would be blamed through their computers.
While you ally with the orks, I’ll be allying Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Eldar, And Tau… maybe some ponies, but only if the guns will stay on.
