Of course, nothing here is really designed to work in the real world. Rhinos, just like real tanks, tend to not last very long against any kind of anti-tank fire. Just the way it goes. Dreads are pretty impractical production wise, but their effectiveness really comes in taking away fire from other troops while being able to absorb copious amounts of artillery and heavy weapon fire whilst also putting out a significant amount of fire power of its own. Of course, if you’re say Necrons or Chaos, none of this really matters because the laws of physics and the entirety of space-time are your bitch, so things kinda just work because you say so.

Oh, and of course, while it’s impractical as all hell, it seems almost every soldier in the galaxy has Mad Jack syndrome and feels the need to brutalize an enemy in close quarters combat for no reason whatsoever. I guess if you’re an eight foot tall super-soldier who can move faster than the human eye while being encased in a shell tougher than most armored vehicles, it’s a BIT safer. Of course, most other people will be carrying commonly something along the lines of a compact pistol which fires a concentrated blast of matter super-heated to the temperature of a star, but ya gotta take your ludicrous risks in every time period, I suppose. /end random tangent
Maxwell Twist

All I can think able when I see this is how bad the engineering is in Warhammer. Those tanks/carries, wouldn’t last long and walkers would be a horrible idea.

Yes, they appear to be Mars pattern Warhound Titans. However, the angular nature of what I’m going to assume is plasticard makes them look more like Lucius pattern titans that have had the top of their ‘shin’ plates chopped off.

No, wait, they appear to be Mars pattern titans with the torso of a Lucius pattern. Odd…

The force is just a basic vanilla marine army.
As for names, never really thought about it. They’ve always just been referred to as the Pony Marine Force, seeing as, at the moment, they’re unique.
Did refer to them as the ‘Brony Brigade’ at one time, but seeing as I originally posted these on 4chan’s MLP board the name wasn’t well received and subsequently dropped.

Just checked back see if there were any new comments. This is my own army BTW.
Okay, here’s why this exists.
September 2011. Moved in to my new home. Painted my daughter’s bedroom up in Hello Kitty theme. As a joke at the time, painted my old assault on black reach marines I had gathering dust under the bed in Hello Kitty theme too.

Took these to my local club (as shown in the pic). Regular player there mentions My Little Pony series. I suggest he does a Pony force to fight the Kitty marines, with the intention of putting the battle on Youtube. (This never came about).
To cut a long story short, he couldn’t afford to do up his own force, so I did both armies instead. Watched the MLP series with my daughter to get an idea of color schemes and characters and basically got hooked.

Might post a pic of both armies together soon.

More than half of that was bought off e-bay. Assault on Black Reach squads.
Still, wasn’t cheap. Titans were around £20 each to build. Better than the £325 price tag on the Forge World ones anyway.

Just noticed that Bon Bon isn’t mentioned here either.
5 man squad in front of the Lyra Rhino.
And Doctor Whooves. Apothecary in the command squad. Never did get round to finishing painting that figure. No mark on the shoulder pad.

Just hunting for MLP 40k crossover pics, and found my own army posted here. Cool.
Thought I’d answer a few of your questions whilst I’m here.
Cat litter sign? The game club’s on a balcony over a pet store.
Octavia is only the Rhino, the squad’s actually Vinyl Scratch.
Also, several units been added to this lot since. Discord Land Raider, Rose Luck Devastator squad, Berry Punch Rhino, and got 2 more underway. Cloudchaser Storm Talon Gunship, and Colgate Rhino.
Three not so obvious units on here too. The CMCs are there. Applebloom scout squad, Sweetie Belle attack bike, and Scootaloo land speeder storm. All on left center of the pic.
