Tree Hugger and Trouble Shoes share a kiss at dusk.

So I think it’s safe to say that my shipping tastes for Tree Hugger have changed as of today. This was originally going to be ApplejackXTrouble Shoes; it’s another known ship, and I kind of saw it as a possibility, but then I came across a piece of art that suggested the idea of Tree HuggerXTrouble Shoes. And I thought to myself “Yeah, I can actually get behind that”. Hell, I think I support this even more than Tree and Zephyr, and for a couple reasons. For one, it’s a fun dynamic, and you know how much I love ships with fun dynamics. Trouble is a country pony/rodeo clown, while Tree is basically a hippie. I can already imagine some of the fun interactions they would have because of that.

Second, because of their personalities, the two would have an interesting impact on each other’s lives. Trouble Shoes often experiences mishaps and accidents due to his clumsiness, while Tree Hugger exudes a serene and calm presence. Their contrasting energies could create a harmonious balance. Tree Hugger’s laid-back and relaxed nature might bring a sense of calmness and grounding to Trouble Shoes’ more chaotic tendencies. In turn, Trouble Shoes’ adventurous spirit and willingness to take risks could add excitement and spontaneity to Tree Hugger’s life.

And finally, there is just the idea of their overall acceptance of each other. Trouble Shoes is a character who initially faces difficulties due to his clumsiness and perceived “bad luck.” Tree Hugger, on the other hand, is known for her peaceful and accepting nature. Her ability to see the beauty in everything and everyone could help her embrace Trouble Shoes for who he is, quirks and all. She might offer him a sense of understanding and acceptance, helping him overcome self-doubt and feel comfortable in his own skin.

It’s a fun idea for a ship, and I’m glad I came across it. I can wholeheartedly say that I now ship these two. As for ya boi Zephyr, don’t worry, I have something or should I say “Someone” else in store for him. ;)
