Description
This is my most insanely detailed car pinup to date - from the carbon fibre texturing, to the fully detailed interior including safety nets and an interior blue endurance light, I hope you guys will enjoy the results of my hard work in making this art piece of Lightning Dust and a McLaren 720S GT3.
There is also a 16:9 triple screen version of this wallpaper for those with ultrawides or multi-monitor setups who would like to use it as a desktop wallpaper, you can download all versions of this piece [here] on Google Drive.
If you would like to see more stuff like this, consider supporting me on Patreon, making a one-off donation on Ko-fi, or getting a commission. The art I do with vehicles is a massive time investment, but despite that I want to be able to continue with this for as long as I can.
EDIT: here’s a new .zip file with adjusted colours, slightly less dark
I’d generally say it’s a good thing. I think to me it stems in part from the contrast between the human form and the technical drawing in the automobile. It’s not uncommon for artists to focus on only one aspect like backgrounds or characters and pull images from elsewhere to fill the other elements. I think there also may be a bit of a dichotomy where the car is accurate to the human world, but an anthro character with large cartoonish eyes implies a more fictional universe, even if your anatomy is fully realistic.
People mistaking my stuff for 3D seems to be a more common occurrence lately, but I take that as a good thing as realistic shading, lighting and forms are what I’m going for.
