I used a big brain move for that. Rather than put “Twilight” into Google translate, I actually went to the MLP Wiki’s article about Twilight and set the language to Japanese. So wrong or not, it is actually what they call her in the Japanese dub >:D

It’s just a laundry basket in somepony’s house. She can wriggle through cracks to slip into homes silently, and a good bin of unwashed clothes makes for a nice place to relax :D

She’s really crushing over her XD
She knows what she’s doing. They don’t like bright light, and candles are about as bright of light as they like so she’s used them a lot :D
She usually doesn’t bother one way or the other. They just hate the smell of soap, detergent, or “clean” smells in general, and love to lounge in anything that smells bad instead. She’d be just as much at home in a bed with unwashed sheets :P
Well, the laundry basket was probably in the house for a long time, there just wasn’t really a reason to include it before.
As for the Japanese-speaking pony, she’s based on a Yōkai called an Akaname, which has an extremely long tongue and eats dirt, filth and grime.
The Yōkai leaves a slimy residue behind which makes people sick, but the Akaname Pony just leaves things squeaky clean.
I also love that this was used for the photo.
