I mean, Gillian Berrow is overseeing the writing, and she was one of the writers on the movie - and she was pretty clearly stunned by what she was witnessing, which I think is perfectly in line with how she reacted in the movie (say, to Izzy)

It’s MYM, not the same writers as the movie, but I’m surprised that Sunny didn’t react like this, super “oMgIt’sTWILLLLIGHTASDFGYKDEDKHLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!” but instead it was just “Woah! Twilight Sparkle!”
