LMAO, yes definitely re-engineered my friend… There ain’t no way to get that much camber out of an old beetle without a few chops here and there and added bits. But don’t think to hard about it, it’s just a drawing :)
The suspension likely would’ve had to be deliberately re-engineered to do it THAT much. I could see this being a swing-axle rear-end car, which will add camber when it’s low simply because the wheel’s solidly mounted to the axle, but not quite that much. However, the front suspension is a torsion-bar-based trailing link, and the camber does NOT change (unlike the watercooleds) when the suspension compresses all the way, because both links only move vertically and forward and aft, not in-and-out like what you get with the multilink suspension in a modern Golf when it’s in the weeds.
