(Note: I drew this back in June and am too lazy to write a new description, so I’m just copy-pasting it from my deviantART post, so it might sound outdated.)

No, what you’re seeing is not a simplistic sketch. This is my very first cohesive drawing since January and my very first full-finished pony drawing I’ve made entirely WITHOUT the use of any references at all.

So I suppose that’s progress? It’s been a long time!

Anyway, I made this picture in honor of Celestia Day! It’s an event held by Equestria Daily on the Summer Solstice. I never did actually submit this to EQD because of the slight fetish background, but I still wanted to contribute to the day in honor of my favorite princess~

So what’s going on in the picture? Well, it seems the plump and pudgy princess of the sun’s stomach is a bit irritable that it didn’t get its daily massage~ Some unlucky guard is gonna get a talking to! Someone should probably help make it feel better in the meantime~

For something I made without any reference other than one on how to draw Celestia’s mane, I must say I’m very proud of this picture. It really makes me feel like I accomplished something. Technically though… I diiiiid kinda reuse the pose I did for Rainbow Dash in a sketch dump I put out some time ago, though I tried to make it stand out more, make it look different so it doesn’t look like I just used the exact same pose over again. It was touch and go with this drawing for a while; at one point I actually got stuck on the arms because I had no idea how to pose them or what position to put them in. I just settled with the ‘hands-behind-the-head’ look as a base and I ended up managing to make it work. I’m really proud of the belly I drew too, one of the better one’s I’ve drawn. The facial expression is another thing I’m happy with.
This might be one of the first times I’m actually really genuinely impressed with something I drew. I still see some flaws I’m not happy with, but I think this is just fine as it is, and I hope you all enjoy it. It was so much fun to draw my favorite variation of my favorite princess, and that’s chubby and sexy~
