Sunflower Honey’s big secret? Yep, she’s a changeling! Were you able to figure it out?
Originally named Skep, this female changeling felt she never truly belonged in the hive. Having a more docile and passive demeanor meant she was an easy target for bullying from the other changelings. As a result, poor Skep learned to bottle her emotions and put on a tough facade from a very young age.
Once old enough she was assigned her role in the hive- to care for and feed the hatchlings. Skep very much enjoyed this duty, as she felt it was the only time she was allowed to show genuine concern and affection towards those around her. Regardless, the changeling never found herself fulfilled with this life and yearned for more. She had heard the tales of places beyond the badlands, where unique creatures lived and loved freely. Longing to find a place like this all her own, she fled the hive and never looked back.
After traveling for awhile, she decided to settle in the outskirts of the Everfree Forest. Secluded and filled with mysterious flora and fauna, she found this a fitting place where she could live undiscovered and undisturbed. She made her home in an abandoned cottage that she took great pride in renovating over the moons. The changeling found she could completely sustain herself off the fruits and vegetables she was able to garden, as well as minute amounts of love from the various animals she tended to. Her home was often filled with woodland creatures of all shapes and sizes, and she very much enjoyed caring for them all.
While Skep has the ability to shapeshift into nearly infinite forms, she has settled on her current bat pony look and given herself the name Sunflower Honey (inspired by her original name, Skep being a type of beehive). Out of caution and fear of being caught, she remains almost exclusively in disguise. She has not revealed her true identity to anyone, even the select few she has become close to.
