“It’s not bothering you, is it?”
“Huh?” Timber looked over at Twilight, wondering what she was asking about before realizing he was mindlessly scratching his chin again. “Oh. It’s fine. I’m just not used to growing my beard out. If you can even call it a beard.”
Twilight chuckled as she looked up at the thin tufts of hair growing out of his chin. “Well, I think it looks nice. With that and the rest of your hair growing out, it gives you sort of a… strong, rustic look.”
“If you say so,” Timber looked away with a smile, trying to hide his blush. “But that could just be the spiked drinks talking cause I’m definitely not strong. Remember the last time I tried to carry you?”
But Twilight could only smirk at her boyfriend’s modesty. “Well, in all fairness, I was the one who tripped and fell onto you. And besides,” she added as she magically swept Timber off his feet, “You don’t have to be the only one doing all the heavy-lifting around here.”
