Welp, the cat’s out of the bag so I can finally upload this!

In case you didn’t read the first chapter of “Go North, Young Dragon”, yes, Buttercream is Spike’s fraternal twin sister! I’ve been planning this for over a year now and this pic is almost a year old, so I’ve been waiting for a while to release it once I have the reveal released.

Since we never got a proper origin story for Spike and were only given a fake father (Sludge), I thought it was time I stepped up and included such a plot point in “Flurry Heart’s Story.” Yes, we will be seeing other members of Spike’s family in this story and I will release art as that happens!

If you’re wondering how it’s taken Butter so long to find out Spike is her brother and how she never came across him before, that will be explained later in another episode of “My Little Sister is a Dragon”, but for now, Spike is just so happy to be able to meet a member of his family.

And don’t worry, Butter isn’t a fake like Sludge. Sludge’s story was already obviously pretty fake once he started telling it in the show and Spike and the girls all started questioning him, but Buttercream has actual evidence. She visited Celestia to get a hold of a remaining part of Spike’s egg that was kept ever since he hatched and showed both hers and Spike’s to her suspected parents, and they confirmed the eggs. In my story, Spike and Butter’s eggs were stolen by a roc in Nordo Dracos, the home of the Northern Drakes. When it flew them into Equestria to its young, it dropped Butter’s in Daleshire where Nightwatch and his family live. When it reached Canterlot, Celestia saw it carrying a purple egg and decided to rescue it from the roc. She then decided to use Spike’s egg for the magic test that Twilight would end up passing. No one knew this entire time that these eggs were connected, but now we’re finally finding out.
