@Background Pony simply know that perfectly well. That’s not what bothers me.

The plan is to spark outrage “for the lulz”, and some may give desired reaction, but it really makes the instigators look childish–assuming the one purchasing the figure even cares.

It would be a great way to troll a lot of people; I simply question whether it’s wise to spend so much money on it.

@ArrJaySketch
It’s not so different than buying it to sit on your shelf. It would only be seen by you and whoever happens to show up in its vicinity. A video like that would immortalize it to thousands of people.

@CMWaters
It’d be one of those sick twists of artistic irony. If it was filmed being destroyed, the twilicorn wubbers and the haters would spread the video around like crazy. The statuette would then be seen by many more people, and could potentially get the artist more recognition.

Unless the /mlp/er does something gross to it first.

@Background Pony
If only I had the thousands to spare to get this (because you just know that’s how high it’s going to get to) so such an act wouldn’t occur.

Seriously, this person would waste that much money just to destroy something? There’s much better ways to spend your hard earned cash.

Apparently the highest bidder is on /mlp/ and plans to film destroying it.
