This is why Pipp is not only the most uninteresting, shallow and most annoying characters in G5, she is one of my biggest gripes about the entirety of G5. Who on the writing team thought that a social media influencer character was a good choice? I get it that Pipp is this generation’s Rarity, but firstly by this stage she had largely moved on from her more selfish side. Secondly, the concept of ponies having smart phones although not a terrible idea, becomes a problem when you have a character like Pipp who’s whole character revolves around said device. Pipp has had little or no character development since her introduction and honestly the story would be better off is she was written out completely.
