I find it to be quite the opposite. So far, everyone I’ve met who’ve put genuine thought into the show like Dash quite a bit. She might not be their favorite, but she’s one of their favorites.
It’s the Twilight fans that tend to be cognitively dull, in my experience. Fluttershy has a sharp contrast, with her fans being either very dull or very sharp, with very few anywhere in the middle. AJ and Pinkie have an even spread, and most Rarity fans are rather intelligent.
Again, in my experience.
@Trickquestion
That’s because Rainbow Dash wasn’t even in most of the second season; instead it was mostly just Gilda with Rainbow Dash’s animation assets.
@Ebalosus
Glad I’m not the only one to notice that. There’s something about Rainbow Dash that makes a lot of people, both on the staff and in the fandom, think it’s fun to watch her suffer. I find that kind of attitude genuinely disturbing.
Shockingly, I find myself agreeing with you. Why? Because of the “Lets make Rainbow Dash suffer, for pathos” attitude that a lot of the episodes featuring her in season 2 seemed to have. Instead of laughing at Dash as the episodes seemed to be wanting me to do, I found myself fully sympathising with her
It was crazy.
….If it wasn’t the fact she is the most dynamic and multi-dimensional character in MLP as well :D
