Conspiracy theory:
 
Scoots is in the hospital. The doctors don’t know if she’ll live past the next twenty minutes. Dash was supposed to be watching her. Dash may have very well just killed a filly due to her own negligence, a filly that she promised she would take under her wing. The way Dash sees it… it’s all her fault, her actions carry great consequences, and she can’t do anything to atone for her mistake.
 
Grief like that can shatter even the toughest of people, and we all know how insecure Dash actually is. She just puts on a tough face so no one will know.

Y’know, when one of the more delicate members of cast does this it works, but on a girl on Rainbow Dash this crying looks out-of-place and pathetic.
