FINALLY SPROUT! Finally he gets a place he deserves, like in the game. He is a main character and he will end as the 6th member! He already have 2 childhood friends there. Perfect.
Misty and Sparky? Nope… I don’t like them. Misty is also more like a big background character

if sprout reformed and joined them i always saw him treating sparky more as like a younger brother and compared to hithc the more lenient one

if you are talking about Hasbro characters, probably yes, it is kinda true. but tbh I don’t really want to sit and wait for him to appear every episode, I want to watch him more often than I do now. this character has a huge potential that is simply ignored. and I do not like it

Main character doesn’t mean they’ll grow. Look at Applejack and Big Mac. Who got the most development? Big Mac had arcs of his own, got married, etc. Applejack ended up exactly where she started.
I remember the show runners saying somethimg like its easier to break status quo with side characters than main ones because its easier to convince Hasbro to let them.
