I think misty’s position with opaline, is like kronk with yzma, and after what yzma said to her right hand man’s favorite dish to cook, he end up turning against her, so if opaline says something to misty that she dislikes of misty’s favorites(like if it’s having a cutie mark), she’ll turn to good right there.

the situation between misty and opalines reminds me a lot of that between the evil queen and the bunny of spyro 3, i think that misty will end up betraying opalines and will follow a path as a starlight that to understand how to be with other ponies will make some mistakes and will understand lessons about ’friendship. opaline i believe that in the future she will have another much more wicked helper, and both will surely make misty pay for her too

Poor misty. Maybe one day she will see the truth that Opaline has no intention of giving her what she wanted. Besides she’s going to have to earn a cutie mark her way.

By this point she’s beginning to, but my guess is she won’t step into it until she takes the leap to do so despite having to let go of her desperation to get a cutie mark, which ironically may even be the same moment of epiphany which grants her one.
