I get that for layers like backgrounds/crowd/foreground, but why would they comp in an object that’s actually in between foreground objects? It’d be the back of the phone anyway so it’s not like they might adjust what’s show on a screen…

I think it’s more likely that unfinished footage was used.

It’s okay, if the plot is good, I can forgive mistakes in the animation.

Hasbro likely had to rush the animation production of G5 to get it out the door as soon as possible since fim was almost over at the time that Hasbro started working on G5 and they ran out of time and had to make Pony Life to buy themselves more time to finish G5. So because of the short time that Hasbro had to work on G5, they likely made a few errors in the G5 series during production. I won’t be surprised if we see more animation errors in newer eps. of ‘Make Your Mark’ later.

Imagine dropping that phone, where would it be? 😏

I never even noticed Jazz keeps missing her ear. That’s so freaky. :P

I think they’re rendering different parts of the animation seperately with green screen placeholders and combining them in post-rendering.

It speeds up rendering time but it means errors like this can occur.

The same way they didn’t notice Misty’s horn missing.

Or Jazz’s ears always missing. There’s even a tag for it…“jazz has no ears”.

How did they not notice this lol
