Not only that, a complete 180 in regards to how she acts would be beneficial to Chyrsalis. She feeds on love; What’s a better way to do so rather than to BE LOVED?
In that regard Chrysalis is totally in character, as I imagine she did a good deal of scheming to come up with this.
I read it the same way, with a bit of accent even.
Have you read the comics? She may not be this friendly, but she’s not completely dark either. She’s kind of tame, just menacing. If she “changed sides” I’d imagine her acting close to how she’s portrayed in his posts. Maybe not this one, but some of them seem pretty spot on. I.E. a semi-lazy potato that wants to lay around and be catered to, while occasionally enjoying a few select things but only of her choosing. Like a cat.
