I looked at those panels and I believe the shadow you’re talking about is Smoothie’s shadow. He’s sitting between her and the window so the sunlight would cast his shadow on her.

Earlier in this series, one of the girls (Sonata I think) said that they are different species so it was impossible for the pony guys to make them pregnant. I’m beginning to think (wonder actually) what would happen if they were wrong and the girls got pregnant from one of their trysts.

Huh. Can’t see it myself. Not saying you’re wrong, just that it looks right to my eyes.
WRT the light sources though, I can say that those are area lights. Possibly the light in the ceiling is doing something that makes it look odd? Also, it’s not apparent in these shots, but there are two lit windows. Not sure.

Apropos of this specific scene, something doesn’t seem quite right with the shadow line on Sonata’s boob. I can’t put my finger on it, but it seems a tad off.
In which panel?
3rd, 6th, and 7th. I think it has to do with figuring out where the light source is. Light is coming in from the windows to cause the shadows. If we look at the 7th panel, Smoothie’s right shoulder and chest are sunlit, which says the light is coming into the frame from behind the viewer’s left (it’s not coming directly from the left, because that would be behind Smoothie), presumably from the window above the microwave. That would logically put Smoothie’s shadow on Sonata’s arm, and we do see it there. But then where does the shadow on Sonata’s left side come from? It must be from the window behind Smoothie, which agrees with the angled shadow on the wall. But if the light is coming from behind Smoothie, given where he’s sitting relative to Sonata, it seems she should be entirely in his shadow, except for her head and maybe shoulders (or maybe the shadow should be on her right instead of the left).
It’s probably just a weird result of where the light sources are (and perhaps Blender treating them as point sources not areas), but it just looks not-quite-right to me.

There are worse things than having ponies finding your writing interesting and engaging for more reasons than you expected, I would say. In fact, that sounds like you should take it as a point of pride!
And yes, that’s a problem writers sometimes face. Readers can’t look into your head, so information you thought was self-evident appears to be missing from the story to them, thus affecting their interpretation. If the Sirens get to lambast Princess Twilight to her face and she agrees, with no opposing viewpoint offered (yet), then it will look like the story’s presenting it as right and proper to many.

I do wonder how they would’ve reacted if Twilight Sparkle suddenly knocked on their door shortly after defeating them. No way would they be any less insulting then.

Hmmm, if I’m not mistaken, in part 34 they were performing a concert in front of thousands of people. Now, granted they may have been in fear of prosecution, and ready to flee at a moments notice, but I don’t think you could say they were actively hiding.
They are saying that they were. They may not have done a good job of it, but in their own minds, they were hiding from Equestria’s authorities.

In reconsidering the matter, I do think that Twilight was in a “no-win” situation.
On one side, the Sirens are feeling very entitled considering that Twilight didn’t know anything about them, they were performing illegal acts, and afterwards, they were actively hiding from the authorities. She really didn’t owe the Sirens anything other than a cursory search for them (a warrant and a APB).
OTOH, what if cracking a powerful magical artifact (like a Siren jewel) caused that item to become a timebomb that exploded a few months later, killings dozens of ponies. Twilight would not be at fault because the Sirens chose to use those jewels in an illegal manner; however, the surviving citizens of Equestria might have appreciated a bit more follow up as to the location of damaged and possibly dangerous magical artifacts.
Celestia and Luna will be able to tell her just where her responsibilities lie and (just as importantly) where they end.

Based on feedback like yours, I’m seeing that there is a lot that in my own head seemed self-evident…meaning I only showed the one side that I thought hadn’t been told, by itself from their perspective. So you’re right; this definitely needs to be explored in a more balanced way, instead of just showing the siren’s side and leaving it at that.
I think I misjudged how this part of the story would come off to some people, without followup. Probably because I didn’t expect people to take the story of a porn series as seriously as they have. So yeah.
Twilight totally caved here for various reasons, but she will get some balance when she talks to the older Princesses.

Hrrm. Once again, this shows the Sirens were actively hiding from being found by the ponies they now blame for not finding them sooner. There’s literally nothing Princess Twilight could’ve done right in this scenario, at least when it comes to what the Sirens think they want or deserve, like spoiled brats they would’ve always found a way to twist it into something unfair to them. Not exactly making them sympathetic.
I’m starting to think Starlight or Sunset should sit their asses down and give them a stern talking to; those two won’t let themselves be steamrolled by accusations, or whining, or throwing a tantrum. They can let them know just how lucky they actually are. And that being angry for not getting help when you don’t ask for help and hide from the ponies you want to help you, is the height of entitlement.
