That’s a pretty serious reply to my otherwise non-serious comment, but I might as well reply accordingly.

Dash eventually learns to understand Fluttershy’s personality though. I wouldn’t say it would be downright abusive, yet a part of me wants to agree with you because Dash did sell Fluttershy at one point. She would have been a really good girlfriend if she controlled herself.
Honestly if we wanna go for gentlemen/ladies, I would choose Big Mac, Applejack, and Rarity. Applejack especially have been helpful and sweet to Fluttershy since the beginning and Rarity has also been pretty kind and worked off pretty well with Fluttershy, so those two are actually pretty perfect for her. And Big Mac is probably pretty obviously why. He is Big Mac. Maybe Twi would also be a pretty good choice but you already appoint her to Dash.
Absolute no Discord though. If you think Dash would be abusive, Discord is already abusive and manipulative to Fluttershy. Literally anyone would treat Fluttershy well, except Discord.

While I consider Dash omnishipable (as in she works with any gender, any race), I don’t see Flutters working in a lesbian relationship unless it’s some hardcore bdsm. Also I think her and Dash’ personalities clash too hard. They have literally nothing in common and would just bore each other.

I also got this feeling from the show where both of them were annoyed at the other for various reasons or how Dashie wanted to prank Flutters and PINKIE of all ponies had to stop her. There is clearly a lack of understanding about how the other feels and what they would be ok with/what would annoy them. I think of them as childhood friends who drifted apart and only really stayed friends through their mutual friendships (mane 6). If they were to become a couple I reckon it would be a very unhealthy and borderline abusive relationship were they would guilt trip, emotionally manipulate and downright sabotage each other.
TwiDash is true otp. They are the perfect mix of opposites attract and common interests. Twi is the reason to Dash’ madness. One helps to control the other’s antics, one helps the other to break out of her shell. I could go on and on about how perfect TwiDash is for various reasons but that’s beyond the point. While I see Dash working out with pretty much anything
(AJ, Big Mac, Soarin, Spifire, Gilda, etc, etc…) I really don’t see her working out with Flutters :/
Flutters either needs a gentlemen to treat her like the lady she is or a dom/sub who let’s her experience her deeply repressed sexual urges. Dashie doesn’t fit those. (except maybe the sub but that’s more of an experiment not a relationship)
