No! Its perfectly fine regardless of gender or age. In fact, I think exposing kids to a little darker details can be positive to their perspective. If there is anything I hate, its shoving kids sugar-coated crap.

McCarthy confirmed Sombra was killed, not that he would never appear again or be relevant again. Fucking Sauron was killed before LotR even started. He got a body later on, but he never meets the Fellowship in person even while Frodo was holding his ring. Sombra can be revisited even without him being alive or in person since his horn is out there.
