It basically theorizes that Cozy Glow was Zipp and Pipp’s great grandmother and the first queen/founder of Zephyr Heights. Cozy was also possibly one of the few individuals responsible for the three races breaking apart. Adding on to the concept, though she had long since passed away, her presence can at times still be felt in the castle. And she uses her will to entice her great granddaughter for some sort of nefarious purpose.
By the way, in case you’re wondering why Pipp’s eyes are red instead of green, it’s all apart of darien’s concept. Pipp eye’s were going to be red in her original design, and he theorized that she was possibly related to Cozy Glow for that reason. Personally, between that and the vintage aesthetic that both characters possess, I’d say it could have some legitimacy behind it.

The problem about her that she was forgiven so easily and her rushed backstory. Compare her to Sunset’s redemption, the writer did well with Sunset as she people still has doubt on her thinking she hasn’t change,if they did the same route with Starlight except some of the mane 6 have suspicious on her. What I like about villain’s backstory they reflect on the darkness of the world like racism,injustice, betrayal, misunderstood. Starlight became evil because her friend left her because of his talent which it a horrible motive.
Starlight is powerful, so with her as ally is benefits,like celestia said to Discord. But Cozy Glow? without her lie, she is just a normal pegasus filly, better throw to Tartarus
Of course, Starlight was given an attempt at rehabilitation while Cozy was given up on immedietly after being revealed as a villain.
Twilight was able to reach out to Starlight after she tell why she hate cutie mark. She reason with her to help her decide to try again and stop all of it,when she riping the scroll l tears are coming out as she remember the painful memories of her. But I agree with the other,her backstory quite bad but it Starlight decision to accept the it because of Twilight. If only the gave her a little punishment like have her strictly allow casting magic.
Of course, she should face the same consequence that Starlight had to. That would be completely fair.
