This reminds me the good old days of ambitious Star Wars fanmovies. They were constantly bashing Lucas’ movies… and they did the exact same thing but far worse.

Long story short, animation was good, everything else was mediocre or shit. The voice direction, writing, dialogue, Double Rainboom as a whole feels disappointing.
 
And then there’s the memes, both MLP-specific and general ones. The fucking obnoxious “le epic maymays XD”. I swear, whoever made this thing must think “the cake is a lie” and “arrow to the knee” is still funny.
 
It’s not just /mlp/, most of Ponychan hates it too.
 
ALso, I love how people go “well it’s just a fanmade thing, ease up!” This fandom has made some solid fanfics, amazing art, and great fan animations. “It’s fanmade, of course it won’t be great!” is a very weak, defeatist argument.

And the Critikal LP that they took down after like two hours because they didn’t “get” his schtick and thought he was serious.

Also, the banned Pokemon let’s plays because THEY ARE ALL THE FUCKING SAME.

Really, if this WERE to happen then I’d predict that Chip and Ironicus would be more likely to do it since they riffed on that one Sonic live-action fan-short.

Well, the ban is understandable because drama from both haters and lovers alike.

The only reason why Slowbeef would watch a carton is if it was flash and on newgrounds.

There wasn’t nearly as much whining here as I had hoped.

PewDie was one of those guys that have had it coming for a while though, if I recall.
 
If they riff on MLP then it’d be safe to say they would need to make fun of exclusively furry content as well. So far, the closest they’ve come to riffing on MLP was a on-the-side comment about a LP’er during the Retsublitz.

Exactly. Look at the crap they got for making fun of PewDiePie! Imagine them making fun of MLP. The internet would blow up.
