Granted, it’s a parody, and the artist probably didn’t know that detail, or was aware of the series.
Funny thing is, for the USA release, they originally wanted to rename Leo as “Simba,” but they couldn’t copyright the African Swahili term, (which means “lion”) so that’s reason they called him “Kimba.”
So this is why the names sound familiar, not because Disney stole the name, and added an “S” over the “K.”

Panja was dead before Kimba/Leo was alive so, this wouldn’t make sense and well. Adult Kimba/Leo well, lets just say the adult Leo/Kimba has the same black tail tips and ear tips that he had as a cub. So, I can safely say that this is not Leo/Kimba with his son Lune.

Yeah, ever sense YMS epically debunked the whole “Lion King ripped off Kimba” decades old controversy, these jokes probably haven’t aged well.
Spoiler: Both are much different then everybody assumed.
(I recommend everyone watch YMS’s Kimba/Lion King video, as it’s very informative and entertaining.)
Especially, because Kimba is a vegan.
Truthfully, even before YMS made that video, I remember pointing out to people who do the “Simba Kimba hmmm suspicious” routine that the name “Simba” is a real African term for lion, but “Kimba” is not.

RIG, do you know what I haven’t merged these already?
 
Because you commented on it being a dupe. In my current position, I can’t be bothered with the clean up required. Dupe with no or normal comments? Merged as soon as we spot it or the report in a single click. Dupe with “IT’S A DUPE” comments, significantly more work, and not a positive attitude on the community.
