Description

a comparison of the idw Rainbow Dash background, and a fan made pic of Dash’s house

I’m willing to bet that the artist for the story probably was looking around for a reference point of Dash’s house, and just came across it thinking it was real

Background Pony #4A07
What I wonder is why the comic version has bushes outside when it’s a cloud house.
Background Pony #AF27
I have to wonder why the comic artist got rid of the guitar but still kept a now useless amp lying around…

It’s interesting that the original image, sourced to DA, is not on durger’s DA account there, and the only pony thing there is a digital workup of Fluttershy’s cottage.
Heterodyne

Well, I see three ways this can go down.
  1. Durger never realizes, and we all go home.
  2. Durger does realize, and is flattered and likes it, and we all go home.
  3. Durger does realize, and then… well, how would this even work from a copyright standpoint?
