I had one. Honestly they’re just hig-quality vanilla ice cream coated in chocolate.
It’s GOOD icecream but, let’s face it, I’m more of a cookie dough kinda guy so for me,t hey rank ‘meh’, whichis above ‘average’ but not quite ‘good’ and miles away from the ‘OH MY LORD I’D GO TO SPACE FOR ONE!’ good that they’re trying to make you think with the comercials.
We just call them “choc ices” over here. There’s no one brand that has become synonymous with the treat.

it’s a thick, messy block of ice cream covered in a easily broken chocolate shell. the thing melts quickly and is hard to eat without getting messy.

A Klondike Bar is a small slab of vanilla ice cream covered in a chocolate shell. Their advertising campaign centered aroudn the phrase “What would you do for a Klondike Bar?” implying that they were so tasty you would be willing to act the fool to get your hands on one.
