cant wait for the new evil dead movie i loved the originall lets c what they came up with on the new one it looks promising

W.F. Hooves: That’s not quite what I’ve heard, I know that the studio making the remake approached Bruce Campell about being in it and he declined/said he wanted nothing to do with it. I also hear the remake is more actual horror then camp horror, which might be why Bruce doesn’t want to be in it.

Also, anyone else notice that the head on the wall is a Brahmin from Fallout?

Actually, from what I understood of the Evil Dead, Bruce himself owns the rights. He approves all the material concerning it, from the musical to the comics. Heck, he made them go more over the top on the musical than they wanted! So I’m almost positive that he had to have approved the remake.

The dumbest things to me about the modern 70s and 80s remakes kick they’re on now is that not only are the original motherfuckers still alive, but they STILL LOOK THE FUCKING SAME to boot. There is absolutely nothing stopping Bruce Campbell from being Ash Williams except some pencil-dicked Hollywood scriptwriter who doesn’t even know who Bruce Campbell is.  
The only good remakes I can recall offhand were Shaft, because Samuel Motherfucking Jackson and The Brave One, because transgender Paul Kersey. At the very least get the old guy to pass the torch to the new guy. Stallone hasn’t fucking changed at all. Lundgren hasn’t changed. Willis hasn’t changed. Connery hasn’t changed. Even fucking Keanu Reeves hasn’t changed, so if someone gets in their heads a goddamned Bill & Ted remake, it better fucking have KEANU FUCKING REEVES

Why the hell are they remaking this masterpiece? Are they going to fuck it up like every other hollywood remake? I can say that there are very few quality reboots of horror movies out there. Evil dead was great as it was, and you cannot replace the original Ash Williams. Come on hollywood…Do something original for once.
