Why’re we assuming the G4 universe destroyed? The A New Generation movie is a sequel to FiM, set probably thousands of years in the future(so it really shouldn’t be called “G5” as it is still part of the G4 continuity), so the Twilicane(it’s probably a fake though) is an ancient artifact.
