Both have been known to have a scary presence with those around them.
Both have been seperated from society from an extended period of time that makes them interacting with others rather socially awkward
Both have a night time theme about them (Luna’s ruling of the night and Brook’s introduction during the Thriller Bark storyline was at night)

While the other crew members were meeting with other pony citizens, Brook was granted an audience with Princess Luna. Discovering her own loneliness of not being able to socialize with ponies that slept during the night, Brook keeps the Ruler of the Equestrian Night company. Given Brook’s fondness of cute animals (aka Laboon the Whale) that enjoys his music, he is taken by the adorable immortal mare and plays a private concert for her during the night.

I have seen fan art of Brook with several MLP characters (Octovia, Sweetie Belle, DJ Scratch, etc.) all who has musical talent; but Luna matches more of Brook's background and disposition:
