It’s a marketing tactic. Show the most exciting parts in a short amount of time to hook people in and convince them to see the movie. Results may vary.
That’s what my Mom kept saying about movie trailers from about 1997 - 2008. The trailers would show any and every highlight of the film, which is kind of a spoiler to it all. I don’t even watch trailers a whole lot, so I don’t know if this really changed much.
