I remember Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure back when the original videos were released in the 90’s.
 
That’s also the first time I encountered Yaoi Doujinshi, and how they associated the Stands as gay/masturbation symbolism…like how when Jotaru’s power emerged he locked himself in a jail cell which symbolized a man’s awareness and initial denial of being gay, how Joseph Joestar shows Jotaru that Stand power isn’t bad symbolizes a fellow gay man showing the one in denial that such emotions towards men aren’t bad…and so on, and so forth…
 
I couldn’t look at the series, old or new, the same way ever since.
