I know this is an old comment but Lord of the Rings (at least the films) aren’t all that hard to understand. Plus they’re very, very good. That and the books really aren’t that difficult to get. I mean lots of stuff is difficult to understand at first until you keep trying long enough for it to sink in. Are you going to spend your life avoiding anything the least little bit difficult? Because you’ll miss out on a LOT if you do.
Biblo Baggins
Spoony: NO IT’S A TRAP!
Truth accepted!
Spoony: OH BULLSHIT, READ THE BOOK YA STUPID…WALL!
(Incase no-one got it, here’s the source of that)
I thought Deagol was his cousin?
Answer: Deagle, Smeagle’s brother. (Yeah yeah ambigious wheather he’s a hobbit or river folk or- look if you want to do semantics read the Simillarion)
… agreed.
But yeah, that’s why Frodo had to carry the ring in LOTR. If Gandalf had the ring, he’d slowly turn into something as potent and evil as Sauron. If Frodo has the ring, he just gradually turns into something similar to Gollum.
No he wasn’t. He was one of the River Folk, who are similar to Hobbits, but he definitely wasn’t a Hobbit. Hobbits are scared of water.
I meant this scene specifically though.
Riight
Not neccesarily, remember the line “SHIRREE!!! BAGGIINNSSS!!!”
Its the Hobbit not LOTR, subtle difference.
Cause I don’t understand a thing.
Unless that’s just the movie adding that pronunciation.
Oh yeah. Just goes to show you even their natural humility can be worn down with time.
he was a hobbit
