A month ago, I thought that lifts (lifts / elevators) must have come all the way up through the mountain itself, when I saw Zephyr Heights for the first time. The guards were there because the lift itself leads straight to the royal castle where Pipp met Sunny and Izzy for the first time. I first assume that the buildings on Zehypr Heights are 1,000 to 1,500 m high over lower land, but different types of clouds are known; “cumulus” seemed to be the most preferred for the pegasi, and these are usually 550 m above the ground, with max. altitude of 2,400 m. The drier the surface becomes, the higher the cumulus clouds will be - up to 6,100 m. Then it meant that my estimate can be correct.
 
The pegasi appeared to be able to fly up to 7.6 km in height, and it is known that they are more adapted than others to extreme temperatures and pressure conditions, although all indications are that they preferred lower altitudes from 200 m to 2,000 m. Cloudsdale was always at higher altitudes than Canterlot, but not higher than the tip of the mountain which was probably 2,000 m high or more. Canterlot itself is several hundred meters above the lakes. It was often seen that the pegasi either created their own cloud cities or lived on flat mountain plateaus, so that they seemed to prefer greater heights than the rest of the ponies.
 
Zephyr Heights was not unexpectedly very high above the rest of the country. But the resources needed to build this city are simply not possible to find locally, this must be brought from very large areas of land. Like an empire. Then it meant that the pegasi had not broken with its past as militaristic conquerors. And the city that Sunny and Izzy had come to is at the heart of an empire - which can have many secrets. Some of these that the Mane 5 want to get hold of.
