Description
The weather failed to deliver the thunderstorms announced by the forcast that I hoped would provide a nice background for more images of Pipe Cleaner Spitfire. However in all truth it would have been rather lucky to get any good shot with a lightning happening to flash at exactly the right time and at exactly the right point.
So, resigning to reality, I instead got some beautiful thunderstorm pictures, put them on a screen and set up pipe cleaner Spitfire in front.
Thanks and credit for the beautiful thunderstorm pictures used as background here (and in the alternative versions below) go to WKIDESIGN who uploaded the images for free use to pixabay.com.
Here are some alternative versions taken with different lighting and camera settings. Since several more shots I took with various backgrounds and setups for the figure turned out nicely there will be a couple more Spitfire in a thunderstorm pictures.

It might not be spam but it gives the impression of being borderline spam at least. Especially considering most of these are just small lighting tweaks. I have nothing against alternate versions really, but if I was OP I would instead just upload the version I think looks the best. But hey, they are free to post almost whatever they want here so this is just advice from my point of view. Good advice btw, I will take a look at my filter.

Thank you very much for the advise about the tags, Ciaran :)
I had been unaware of the “Part of a set” tag, but I am going to go through my uploads and add that tag in some while removing the “alternate version” tag from one per set. While “spam” may be a bit harsh, I do see why a number of very similar looking images could be unintentionally annoying to some.

Yes, “Alternate Version” is the right tag for these. You can also add “Part of a set”, which will help people search for or filter them. Remember to keep Alternate Version off of one from each set so that people filtering “Alternate Version” will see the “first” image from each set of alternates.
@Simple Sample
It’s not spam, alternate versions are welcome. You can add the artist’s tag AND alternate version to your complex filter if you’d like to just see the original in any of these sets. Let me know via PM if you’d like a hand setting this up.
On Deviantart it is possible to add little thumbnails of alternative versions of an image into the text.
Since different lighting, camera settings and changes in the angle of a figure can create a different impression I tend to post several of them. I reckon this is the use of the often used tag “alternate version” and it doesn’t do any harm to post the different variations.
